Facebook has published its annual “transparency” report. The first chapter is dedicated to the platform’s community guidelines, and states that between 0.10% and 0.11% of the content circulating on Facebook is considered by the platform to be hate speech. The platform claims that they have moderated close to 100 million instances of hate speech, principally via its AI algorithm. The second chapter of the report enumerates, country by country, the legal requests made by local governments regarding user data. The last chapter concerns restrictions on connectivity that have occurred in various countries.
