Projet Team of the Conseil Supérieur de l'Audiovisuel

The project team of the Conseil Supérieur de l'Audiovisuel is a french task force, tied to the French Superior Council of the Audiovisual. This initiative aims to ensure compliance with the "anti-fox" law of 2018 through the development and supervision of a series of recommendations meant to accompany the implementation of concrete measures.

Service offering protection against false information from a dual perspective. The first is the protection of the general public; the second concerns businesses and intends to protect advertisers by allowing them to evaluate the content published on a media platform from which they would like to purchase advertising placements. The tool utilizes artificial intelligence in order to identify hate speech, propaganda, fake news networks and statements aimed at eliciting “clicks” from Internet users without providing adequate or qualitative content.

Hypothesis

The purpose of the website is to enable an open-ended debate regarding the content that is available on the Internet. The idea of the site is to allow its users to annotate web pages in the same way they would annotate books. The aim is to provide clarifications and corrections to the web page’s contents. The platform is intended to be completely free of access, free of charge and does not seek profit. Its revenue comes from private sponsors, such as for example the foundation created by the founder of eBay. All users are also encouraged to donate if they wish.

Our News

Our News is a collaborative social network that strives to fight misinformation by allowing users to share articles that they consider to be true. The articles are then critically reviewed by other users. An algorithm is charged with moderating the platform, so as to reduce the amount of fake news submitted. Their label is Newstrition®.

Journalism Trust Initiative

The Journalism Trust Initiative (JTI) is a french initiative, which strives to create a healthier media environment. It develops indicators of journalistic reliability and thus promotes compliance with professional norms and standards.

Center for an Informed Public (Washington University)

The Center for an Informed Public is a multidisciplinary research center at the University of Washington in Seattle that has a mission to “resist strategic misinformation, promote an informed society and strengthen democratic discourse.” The center’s work revolves around four pillars: research; education; engagement; and law and policy.

European Values Center for Security Policy

This think-tank is a member of the Open Information Partnership. It promotes the defense of democracy and European values, with a focus on the European world post-USSR and on Russian interference.

MSB - Ministry for Contingencies - Information security department

Sweden's Information Security Department is responsible for the security and defense of information within civil society ("defense" in the broad sense of the term).

Ethical Journalism Network

The Ethical Journalism Network (EJN) is a coalition of more than 70 groups of journalists, editors, press owners and media support groups from across the globe.

First Draft

Founded by Google News Lab, First Draft supports journalistic projects and research and training programs designed to bolster trust and sincerity in the digital age. They notably offer a very intuitive page with helpful tools related to fact-checking.
